Longleat Safari Park have welcomed a new addition to their menagerie of wondrous beasts, a baby Rhino called Ebun. She is a young White Rhinoceros or Square-lipped rhinoceros - Ceratotherium simum.
She originally came from Muenster Zoo in Gemany, where she was born. Unfortunately, she was rejected by her mother and is now having to be hand reared. At 12 months old she currently weighs 1,377lbs but by the time she is an adult she could weigh between 6,000 and 8,000lbs.
Not suprising really, at present she is guzzling 20pints of high-protein powered milk a day.
Great appetite I'd say.
